Memories being made

So we begin out journey at the fair. Well actually we start weeks before the fair.
Nolan made the comment that he had never been to the Texas State fair. And since we like to keep our children as deprived as possible ( hehehehe )
they too had never been to a fair. ( not true. Logan went to the HOT fair when we first moved here )

So I being the Big Kahuna and the boss ( LOVE YOU HONEY ) decided that WE ARE GOING TO THE STATE FAIR.... we are going to ride the rides, play the games, eat all the fattening greasy fair food, and shop all the exhibits.

( we did ride a few rides, the boys did play a few games, we LOOKED at the exhibits and did eat a bit, but with the price of stuff it was WOW... )

So Nolan being the greatest daddy of all time took Monday and Tuesday off on Vacation.
so back to our story, kids.

Monday we planned ( notice I said PLANNED ) to get up and be outta the house by 7, then that changed to 9 and in reality it was 10 when we actually got out of the house.

So we drive the 1 1/2 hours up to Dallas and find the fair. we park and we WALK.... and WALK.... and WALK... until we finally make it to the entrance.

Quick question.... DID YOU ALL KNOW THEY PASS YOU THROUGH A METAL DETECTOR TO GO TO THE FAIR?

(again like I said its been Years since we have been Man its sad when you have to pass through one to go to a fair.)

Anywho. the fair was HUGE and well HUGE... we had these grand plans to do this and that and alittle more this and well we didn't do any of the THAT.... could not find half the stuff. YES IT WAS THAT BIG... and with a tired Rang-Tang ( AKA Brae, we did have a stroller ) but when he gets tired he gets cranky and if you all have not had the pleasure of experiencing a tired cranky Rant-Tank Touie then you have NO idea how bad it is.

we decided to go to the midway and let the kids play a few games. So now here comes the part in the story were you all get to look at pictures. So sit back grab a cup of coffee and enjoy..

We start the tour with Nolan and the boys posing in front of a old timer carriage.

Now here is the boys posing with a cool pumpkin that some knuckle head had the patience to carve. COOL HUH?

Now this is REALLY freaky. Weather its an optical illusion or real It was BIZARRE... When Nolan went to snap the photo, he told Nolan.
SIR YOU NEED TO STEP BACK A LITTLE TO GET THE FULL BODY SHOT... he was funny, and did I mention FREAKISH?

Here is Brae and Logan on one of the kiddy rides. YEAH.... THAT'S RIGHT TALIBAN BE AFRAID ... THESE ARE THE NEXT GENERATION FIGHTER PILOTS. hehehehe

HELP WE ARE STUCK IN THE HOUSE OF GLASS!!!!!

Brae on his viking boat channeling Lief Erickson...

Yep that's Mommy ( ME ) and Logan. Now Logan had tried to get on another ride only to scare himself silly. So I kinda Made him go on this with me to show him they were safe and fun. BIG MISTAKE.... he started out ok then ended the ride in tears and declared... I AM NEVER GOING ON A SCARY RIDE AGAIN!!... and decide right then and there that the ONLY fun ride is a little SLOW kiddy ride.

So here he is with brae on another SLOW FUN RIDE....

And on to the coolest Marry-Go-Round ever...

YEEEEE-----HAWWWW!!!!! RIDE EM RANG-TANG-TOUIE..

Logan's turn to RIDE EM COWBOY.....

And this is were Brae declared.... THERE AINT NO RIDE WORTH RIDING UNLESS I CAN SCARE THE CRAP OUTTA MOMMY AND PIDDLE MYSELF.....

So here he is with Mommy on a mini roller coaster, but still scary enough to freak ME OUT... PLEASE RIDE END!!!!

And Brae scaring the pants of Mommy one more time....

YEP!!!! still freaking mommy out.

Now kids this is were we start winding down our tour.

And the last photo of the day before we declare its TIME TO GO HOME....
Logan and Brae posing with BIG TEX....

So this kids was the story of Making memories with the boys....

I not encourage you all to go out and make your own memories.
